I am an experienced Software Engineering Manager with a passion for building high-performing teams and delivering impactful technology solutions. With over 10 years in the tech industry, I have successfully led engineering teams through tough engineering challenges focused on strategic vision and an empowering engineering culture.

My leadership approach focuses on empowering engineers to achieve their potential while aligning technical solutions with business goals. I excel at bridging communication gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that engineering efforts drive measurable business outcomes.

Throughout my career, I have cultivated expertise in scaling engineering processes, implementing Agile methodologies, and establishing technical excellence as a core team value. My most recent work centers on building an enterprise-wide event hub for all State Farm engineering teams — a unified real-time streaming backbone built on Apache Kafka and Apache Flink that enables true event-driven architecture at scale across the organization.

Outside of work, I actively use and experiment with AI tools — both for building software and exploring their broader capabilities. Staying hands-on with emerging technology is important to me, which is why I am also currently building out a home server to deepen my skills in self-hosted infrastructure, networking, and systems administration.
